Amsterdam Light Festival: Temporal Tower

Amsterdam Ligt Festival - Haringspakkerstoren

A tower consisting of 30 metres of fabric, steel and light

The Haringpakkerstoren is one of lost towers of Amsterdam. Around Christmas 2013 this tower, designed by the 17th century architect Hendrik de Keyser, was temporarily available to be seen again. Todd van Hulzen and Studio Louter have developed a design for a temporal tower consisting of 30 metres of steel, fabric and most of all light. The tower was one of the eye-catchers during the second Amsterdam Light Festival.
