Escher in The Palace: Interactive drawing application
In the footsteps of Escher
The world famous prints by artist Maurits C. Escher are characterized by geometry, fantasy and optical illusion. The Escher Museum in The Palace, the former winter palace in The Hague by Queen-Mother Emma, exhibits more than 150 pieces of his works.
For this collection, Studio Louter designed a drawing application which visitors can use to experiment with Escher’s patterns. In the process, they discover the beauty of geometry in art. The visitor can email the design and possibly share it on social media to inspire others.
