Everyday reality
The exhibition at the Marines Museum in Rotterdam makes the soldiers’ experiences real through the use of their own communication media: videos, photographs, blogs and Twitter. The material has been only minimally edited. The marines also wrote short reports tracking their activities hour by hour. All these real-life accounts make for a unique, authentic picture of what everyday reality was like for the Dutch marines in Uruzgan.
