Museum Bronbeek, Arnhem (NL)
Museum Bronbeek and its knowledge institute focus on the Dutch colonial-military past and the history of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army (KNIL).

A place of remembrance
The museum is housed at the former country estate Landgoed Bronbeek, along with a care home for former soldiers. With OPERA Amsterdam, Studio Louter is developing a new permanent exhibition for this unique place of remembrance. The museum will be dedicated to colonialism and differing perspectives on it.
“With the new museum we’re trying to get away from the paralysing search for blame.”
Commander Karel Van Dreumel, de Gelderlander — 11 September 2020
