(Dis)harmony in the homeland

NTNU University Museum, Trondheim (NO), 2021

For centuries, human beings have lived in balance with the natural world. Now that harmony is under threat. The relationship between people and nature is the central focus at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology’s NTNU Museum.

Biodiversity

The museum has amassed an extensive natural history collection over the years. To make this wealth of varied objects relevant for visitors, we worked with the museum to create a master plan for a new exhibition on biodiversity.

The exhibition links archaeology, geology and biology to show the long relationship between people and nature in all its facets. It serves as a source of inspiration encouraging people to choose a better future in which balance is restored to the current disharmony.

New routing creates a logical narrative

The master plan includes an eye-catching new front entrance. The placement of the new entrance in front of the building will allow for a more logical routing and allow the story to fall into place.
