Find your concept fast in a pressure cooker

Lay the foundations for a future project in a pressure cooker session. In a confrontational, inspiring process, we'll work with you to create a core concept for a museum experience.

Confrontation

Who do – and don't – you want to reach with this exhibition? Why does this story need to be told now?

A pressure cooker session is a brief, intensive process. Over one or more half-days, our content designers will ask questions based on the journalist’s “five Ws”: who, what, where, when and why. Through this ostensibly simple process, we’ll home in on your organisation’s dreams and ambitions, the target group, the relevance of the story and the collection, the roles of the various parties involved, and the potential offered by the location.

Your team will provide the answers. We’ll listen, confront, and provide structure. It's important that everyone who will be involved in the project attends the session, whether they're a tour guide, manager, marketer, curator, educator or stakeholder.

Inspiration

Putting the foundations in place for your forthcoming exhibition will open up the space for inspiration. With the aid of our content designers’ creative insight, we’ll come up with an initial idea during the session.

We’ll use the Emotion Design method to make sure the concept is meaningful and emotional and will result in an unforgettable visitor experience.

We can expand the pressure cooker session to include an inspiration session. We'll fill you in on museum trends and/or take you to visit an inspiring location. And we’ll get to know each other and build a shared frame of reference. What choices were made here? What works, and what doesn't?

Creation

After the session, the Studio Louter team will formulate a core concept containing an analysis, a creative proposal, a cost estimate and a plan of approach. We'll finalise the core concept together at a follow-up meeting.

This document can be expanded on request, for instance for fundraising purposes, or supplemented with a visitor journey, an arresting visual, or additional analysis. It can also be turned into a persuasive video or magazine.

Going through the pressure cooker process together ensures we’re all united behind the same idea. With a core concept in place, your team will be ready for the next stages: design and execution.

Let’s go!

Are you and your team looking to sketch the outlines of a new project? A pressure cooker session with our content designers is the perfect place to start.
